Dave and Julie got married at a beautiful hotel called The Manor In Solihull. They required a specialised Wedding Dj around the Solihull and Birmingham area who could play music to suit everyone’s tastes. Their requirements were to supply a Mobile Disco In Solihull to a very high standard and to include uplighting in the price. They also required the use of a massive bubble machine for the kids and the first dance.

The Venue: The evening entertainment was to be held upstairs in their large function room at The Manor Hotel near Solihull. Although the Mobile Disco did not start till 7 pm, I was at the Manor hotel very early. I was already told the function room was upstairs. The staff were accommodating and were willing to help in whichever way they could to make this more comfortable for me. The function room has got an average size stage. Which was ideal for my set up and was suitable for Mood Up lighting down the one wall as there was plenty of plug sockets.

The Evening

Dave and Julie wanted a fun-packed night and music to suit all guests. They had given me a few requests but mainly left me to myself. The night started bang on time at 7 pm and I primarily played background music till 8.30 when they wanted the 1st dance. The kids loved the bubble machine for the first 90 minutes or so. It kept them entertained while the parents could have a good old chat.

At 8.30 I asked the bride and groom to the dance floor for there 1st dance. Their special song was Ordinary People by John Legend. They already told me after around one minute into the song, could I please ask friends and family to join them on the dance floor which I did, and the dance floor filled up nicely. The buffet started at 9 pm but a lot of guests carried on dancing and this continued till the end at 1 pm.

End of the night Comments

Overall I had an excellent night, and the guests enjoyed themselves. Bride and groom thanked me at the end of the night, and the venue manager told me I did a great job. Brilliant.
