Venue Details – the Full address was The Winking Man, Buxton Road, Upper Hulme, Near Leek, Staffordshire, ST13 8UH. The Winking Man is Situated close to The Roaches in the beautiful Peak District National Park; The Winking Man is a traditional Free House, Family Friendly country pub which offers quality beers from Coors alongside excellent guest beers.

They also offer superb home cooked food and a family friendly atmosphere in a stunning location.

Party Time – I arrived at the Winking Man in plenty of time. The manager of the winking man told me where to set up and left me to it. I was set up for 6.45 and waiting for guests to arrive. Around 7.25 Danielle arrived with her family and she told me only around 80 guests was going to turn up (there should have been around 170). It was a really slow start because around 8.45 there was still only around 40 guests and I was getting a little worried because of its a large function room. Suddenly in a space of 15 minutes, this seemed to of double to around 80.

They started the food at 9 pm and once everyone finished eating the dance floor quickly filled up. At around midnight guests slowly started to leave and we finish as arranged to a busy Dance floor at 12.30.
